Marine Quilts

On March 23rd, 2003, these 18 Marines, all deployed from Camp LeJeune, NC, perished in and around An Nasiriyah, Iraq. Although there had been some losses earlier on, the heavy losses sustained by several branches of the Armed Forces on this single day early in the conflict provided the impetus for creating Marine Comfort Quilts.
